Payment process

What methods of payment are accepted in Sales Phase (1), Sales Phase (2) and the Last-Minute Sales Phase?

For online sales on FIFA/com/tickets during sales Phase (1), Sales Phase (2) and the Last-Minute Sales Phase, tickets may be purchased using the payment methods listed below.

For sales to residents of Qatar:

        Visa payment cards
       

For sales to non-residents of Qatar:

        Visa payment cards

        Other accepted payment cards. Pay with Visa, Worldwide Partner of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
       
For residents of Qatar, please note that if you have a Visa debit NAPS card, please always select NAPS as your payment method. A Visa debit NAPS payment card is a debit cards issued by a Qatari Bank and contains the NAPS logo on the back of the card.
For over-the-counter sales at the FIFA Main Ticketing Centre (Doha Exhibition & Convention Center – DECC) and the Ticketing Centre (Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena - ABHA Arena in Al Sadd), Visa payment cards are the preferred payment method for both residents and non-residents of Qatar.

By when do I have to pay for my tickets?

During random selection draw sales periods, ticket applicants were invited to apply for tickets that have been allocated amongst the ticket applicants pursuant to a random selection draw process conducted by FIFA Ticketing. A ticket applicant may have been successful, partially successful or unsuccessful in being allocated the tickets for which they applied. All successful, partially and unsuccessful ticket applicants have been notified by email of the outcome of their applications. If their ticket application has been successful or partially successful, ticket applicants have received an email with further information on the payment process, including the steps to follow and the deadline by which to pay for their tickets. However, please note that it is responsibility of the ticket applicants to check the details and status of the ticket application they submitted during the random selection draw sales period by accessing their FIFA ticketing account.
The Random Selection Draw sales period of sales phase (1) started on 19 January 2022 and finished on 8 February 2022, while the Random Selection Draw sales period of sales phase (2) started on 5 April 2022 and finished on 28 April 2022. Ticket applicants who have been allocated tickets based on the ticket application submitted during the random selection draw sales period of sales phase (1), must have paid for their tickets from 11:00 CET / 13:00 Doha time on 8 March 2022 and by no later than 11:00 CET / 13:00 Doha time on 21 March 2022. Whereas ticket applicants who have been allocated tickets based on the ticket application submitted during the random selection draw sales period of sales phase (2) must have paid for their tickets between 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 31 May 2022 and 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 17 June 2022. Once these respective payment periods have ended, no further payments will be accepted and ticket applications for which full payment has not been received have been cancelled in their entirety. Ticket applicants were invited to check the details and status of their ticket applications by accessing their FIFA ticketing account.
During the first come first served sales periods of Sales Phases (1) and (2) and the Last-Minute Sales Phase, ticket applicants may submit their ticket application at any time throughout the respective first come first served sales period and the last-minute sales phase, with preference given in respect of the date and time of the submission (i.e. earlier submissions will be given preference and have a better chance of success than later submissions). During these sales periods, ticket purchases are processed as a real-time transaction, i.e. available tickets will be allocated directly to the ticket applicants. Ticket applicants will receive immediate confirmation of their successfully purchased tickets.
The first come first served sales period of sales phase (1) started at 11:00 CET / 13:00 in Doha on 23 March and finished at 11:00 CET / 12:00 (midday) in Doha on 29 March. The first come first served sales period of sales phase (2) started at 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 5 July 2022 and ended at 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) in Doha on 16 August 2022. Therefore, sales phase (2) is now finished.
The online Last-Minute Sales Phase on FIFA.com/tickets starts at 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 27 September 2022 and runs until the end of the competition on 18 December 2022. In addition, tickets for the general public are available over the counter at the FIFA Main Ticketing Centre (Doha Exhibition & Convention Center – DECC) from 18 October 2022; and at the Ticketing Centre (Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena - ABHA Arena in Al Sadd) from 30 October. Both ticketing centres will be open until the final match day of the competition on 18 December 2022.

Can I choose to pay only for part of the tickets I have been allocated following the random selection draw process?

No. Following the random selection draw process, if your ticket application has been successful or partially successful, please note that you were not able to choose which ticket(s) you wished to keep and therefore pay for. If your ticket application has been successful or partially successful, you have received receive an email communication with further information about payment, including the steps to follow and the deadline to pay for your tickets. If the FIFA Ticketing Centre did not receive payment in full by the deadline provided, we have cancelled the ticket(s) allocated to you and rejected your ticket application in its entirety in accordance with the Online Ticket Terms of Sale for General Public, which are available in the "Legal Documents" section of the ticketing page accessible via FIFA.com/tickets.

What happens if FIFA Ticketing did not receive full payment by the relevant due date?

If full payment has not been received by the relevant due date, FIFA Ticketing may have cancelled the tickets allocated to you with immediate effect.

Can I use a relative’s or friend’s payment card to pay for my tickets?

No, payment with your personal payment card is a material obligation and you must be the named payment card holder. If you provide payment card information from a third party within your application, your application may be rejected. According to the Online Ticket Terms of Sale for the General Public and the Over the Counter Ticket Terms of Sale for General Public, if FIFA Ticketing cancels a ticket due to a breach of those Terms of Sale, the Terms of Use or the Stadium Code of Conduct by the ticket applicant or any guest of the ticket applicant, the ticket applicant shall not be entitled to a refund or any other form of compensation.

What is the payment card security code and where can I find it?

The payment card security code is the last three digits of the number printed on the signature panel usually located on the back of your card. The code is a security feature that allows FIFA Ticketing and your payment card issuer to identify you as the cardholder and provide you with additional security against fraud.

I attempted to pay online, but my payment was unsuccessful. What should I do?

If you tried to pay online but received a message that your payment was unsuccessful, it could be because your bank is blocking the transaction. Please contact your bank to authorise the payment and try to submit it again. If the situation continues, please contact the FIFA Ticketing Centre with as much information as possible, including a screenshot with any specific message shown, the internet browser you are using, and how many times you have attempted the transaction. If your payment is unsuccessful, no tickets will be allocated to you.
Please note that FIFA Ticketing is not responsible for any SMS sent to you by your payment card issuer informing you of the purchase of tickets or the approval of any expenditure on your payment card. Any such communication not issued by FIFA Ticketing does not entitle you to receive tickets nor does it represent a ticket confirmation.

Will my payment card and personal information be secure when I submit an application?
